About The Position

This position supports the Manager of DaVita Labs compliance team with monitoring and auditing serving as the primary focus of the role. The Analyst will apply strong data analytics, auditing, and communication skills to drive continuous monitoring and coordinate existing and new Compliance activities to ensure that procedures and policies comply with federal and state rules and regulations, company policies and guidelines. Additionally, this role will act as a catalyst for efficiency by identifying opportunities for automation and building out automated workflows for current and future monitoring activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in audit, compliance, quality, investigations, quality, risk management, legal, revenue operations, healthcare billing, healthcare regulations, coding or related field preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience dealing with federal healthcare program laws including but not limited to Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act and Civil Monetary Penalty preferred.
  • SQL, JavaScript, or other programming languages used for data analytics experience preferred.
  • Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools experience preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, team player with proven ability to identify issues and manage priorities in a fast paced environment while striving for practical business solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the end-to-end audit and monitoring lifecycle. This includes extracting and analyzing data, executing audit work steps, writing comprehensive audit summaries, creating corrective action plans (CAPs), ensuring the timely closure of all CAPs, case creation and management of all audits.
  • Design, build, and execute continuous monitoring programs.
  • Leverage advanced data analysis skills to extract, manipulate, and interpret complex data from multiple systems to identify anomalies, assess claims accuracy, and evaluate compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to automate existing manual compliance monitoring activities; design, build, and implement automated data workflows to elevate our monitoring capabilities.
  • Perform advanced data analyses and synthesize technical findings into actionable insights, drafting clear oral and written presentations for executive management.
  • Become familiar with healthcare Fraud Waste and Abuse (FWA) laws, regulations, policies and procedures with an emphasis on the False Claims Act (FCA).
  • Perform and lead a variety of recurring and non-recurring processes and projects related to compliance and village-wide initiatives.
  • Establish effective relationships within Compliance and across multi-functional groups, leading or participating in brainstorming sessions with various stakeholders (compliance, legal, quality, operations).
  • Lead or participate in various compliance education and engagement initiatives.
  • Manage time effectively and regularly meet expected deadlines.
