About The Position

Join our Corporate Communications team as a Corporate Communications Specialist, where you’ll help bring the Happen Bank brand to life with internal and external audiences. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their career in communications, explore the evolving role of AI in corporate storytelling, and make an immediate impact on how employees and media engage with our company. You’ll gain hands-on experience in writing, design, and digital channels — while being mentored by senior leaders and working alongside a creative, collaborative team.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience (including internships) in communications, journalism, digital media, or a related discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism, or a related field
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
  • Comfort with emerging AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, etc.) and curiosity about how they shape the future of communications
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, self-starting approach – you take initiative, anticipate what’s needed, and follow through without waiting to be asked
  • Curiosity, adaptability, initiative, and a growth mindset—you’re excited to learn, take ownership, experiment, and stretch your skills
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid office model based in San Francisco

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, engaging communications tailored to internal and external audiences
  • Manage the development and distribution of a weekly internal newsletter
  • Support the rollout of company initiatives by helping to prepare messaging and detailed communications plans
  • Create graphics and visual designs to enhance and amplify communications, including the creation of notices on digital signage
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team on a variety of internal and external initiatives and events, contributing ideas and enthusiasm
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage logistics and coordination on a variety of ad hoc projects
  • Monitor communication effectiveness using analytics dashboards and measurement tools, recommending improvements to boost impact
  • Explore and experiment with AI-powered communication tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot) to support innovative storytelling and team efficiency
