About The Position

Nelson Mullins is seeking a midlevel corporate associate to join its emerging companies group in the Chicago office. The Venture Capital and Technology Team advises companies, founders, management teams, and investors in entrepreneurial ventures, and represents emerging and growth-stage companies in corporate and financing matters. Its work addresses legal and business needs throughout each stage of growth, including formation, early funding, employment, tax, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions from formation through exit.

Requirements

2 to 5 years of meaningful corporate transactional experience in a law firm setting.
Knowledge of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters.
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Academic excellence.
Admission to and good standing with the Illinois bar.

Emerging company and venture capital experience is strongly preferred.
