About The Position

Nelson Mullins is seeking a midlevel corporate associate to join its emerging companies group in its Chicago office. The Venture Capital and Technology Team advises companies, founders, management teams, and investors in entrepreneurial ventures, and represents emerging and growth-stage companies in corporate and financing matters. The work addresses legal and business needs at every stage of growth, from formation and early funding through employment, tax, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance matters, including mergers and acquisitions from formation through exit.

Requirements

2 to 5 years of meaningful corporate transactional experience in a law firm setting.
Knowledge of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate matters.
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong academic performance.
Admission to and good standing with the Illinois bar.

Emerging company and venture capital experience is strongly preferred.
