Requirements

The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
Accounting or Finance Preferred/Related Discipline : Accounting or Finance
MS Excel
Basic Accounting (debit/credit)

Nice To Haves

ERP SAP Experience would be a plus

Responsibilities

Executing corporate accounting activities related to Tampa Electric Company and its affiliates, including enterprise-wide accounting with a focus in ERP accounting systems, general ledger processing and journal entry creation.
Cash clearing processes, specific accounting, and analysis.
Supporting other financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
Preparing Journal Entries
Payment Postings
Creation of Invoices
Audit Requests
Assistance with Closeout
Any ad hoc misc. requests as needed
