Requirements

  • A degree from a four-year college, preferably with an accounting concentration.
  • Two to five years of related experience, with a preference for hospitality industry knowledge.
  • Command of accounts payable, payroll, debits and credits, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts receivables, bank reconciliation, and cash flow projections.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Responsibilities

  • Be the trusted financial resource and advisor for our hotel financial and management teams.
  • Ensure that monthly hotel financial statements are meticulously prepared, reviewed for precision, and distributed promptly for a select set of hotels under the guidance of the Regional Controller.
  • Master monthly bank account and balance sheet reconciliations with precision and timeliness.
  • Take charge of preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports for hotels, owners, and investors.
  • Partner with the regional director of finance to prepare for annual audits.
  • Review the accuracy of new accounts payable vendor requests and support accounts payable invoice posting as needed.
  • Produce additional monthly financial reports based on requirements.
