The Biorepository Core Research Technologist provides consultation and guidance for users on specialized research methods and techniques within the institutional biorepository lab; guides users on experimental design, instrument capabilities, and analysis techniques; provides data reports for customers; oversees daily lab operations related to safety, compliance, inventory, scheduling, and budget; ensures the availability of high-quality services for the University research community. The Institutional Biorepository Technologist supports investigators, clinical research teams, and external collaborators in all operational and regulatory aspects of biospecimen collection, processing, storage, and distribution within an institutional biorepository. This position serves as a key customer-facing resource, ensuring high-quality biospecimen management that aligns with clinical research protocols, institutional policies, and applicable regulatory and ethical standards. The Technologist plays an essential role in facilitating translational and clinical research by providing technical expertise, training, and consultation to customers while maintaining the integrity, traceability, and compliance of biospecimens throughout their lifecycle.
