About The Position

The Quality and Process Engineering organization is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 3 professional to support a module center. The position works with internal Pratt & Whitney business units, suppliers, and partners to develop and continuously improve NDT systems. The role supports the Hollow Fan Blade module center, with a focus on immersion Ultrasonic Testing; BTM and TDM experience are beneficial. As a member of the Q&PE NDT team, the employee performs NDT audits and certifications, provides technical guidance and inspection system oversight, and drives process improvements. The role is primarily onsite in East Hartford, Connecticut. U.S. citizenship is required to access information under the program or contract.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of NDT experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Currently hold a Level 3 certification in NDT methods, with a specific focus in immersion UT, BTM, and/or TDM.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with training, personnel testing, and auditing NDT systems.
Experience with immersion Ultrasonic Testing and Matec systems.
Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations.
Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
Experience with SAP and Microsoft suite.
BTM and TDM experience.
