About The Position

This position offers a unique chance to gain valuable experience, contribute to our dynamic team, research new technology and help bring that technology to the site. As a Core Engineering Technology Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in researching new technology, leveraging existing network resources to bring innovative solutions to Sanford, and creating a comprehensive roadmap for implementation over the next 3-5 years. You will collaborate closely with all departments within EMU to ensure seamless integration and support our organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience; OR a master's degree with more than 1 year of experience; OR an associate's degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate various AI tools and equipment in the asset reliability space to identify technologies that can be brought on site, focusing on preventive methods to assess equipment performance and enhance reliability at the site.
  • Lead the digitization of the Engineering Turnover Package (ETOP) library by developing and implementing a structured approach to convert existing physical records into electronic formats and establishing a sustainable process for the electronic storage and management of all new ETOP submissions.
  • Support the implementation of Revolution initiatives within the Core Engineering team, including pest control, preventive maintenance, and MRO. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining localized work instructions, and collaborating with the team to update existing workflows to ensure alignment and compliance with global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate the site rollout of AutoDesk by partnering with Plant, Utilities, Capital, and Reliability Engineering teams to drive engagement, secure stakeholder buy-in, and ensure site readiness for successful implementation; facilitate ongoing collaboration with the Capital team through quarterly meetings to gather feedback, strengthen relationships, and support continuous improvement.
  • Conduct Cost and ROI analysis to determine upfront costs of technology and tools, assess their impact on department budgets and estimate ROI to justify various options.
  • Ensure that the role is aligned with the strategic objectives of researching new technology, leveraging existing resources, and creating a roadmap for implementation while collaborating with various departments within EMU.
