About The Position

The Strategic Technology Group (STG) unit at Infosys is designed for power programmers and senior technologists who want to go beyond traditional development roles and take on complex, large-scale technology challenges. The STG unit brings together Specialist Programmers, Senior Technologists, and Technical Leaders who possess deep expertise across software design and development, cloud-native architectures, enterprise platforms, data engineering, and emerging technologies, including generative AI and agentic AI. Members of the STG unit play a strategic role in shaping technology direction, solving complex business challenges, and delivering resilient, high-quality outcomes. They are expected to demonstrate strong technical depth, sound architectural judgment, and hands-on leadership, while mentoring teams and influencing best practices across programs. The STG unit emphasizes software development excellence, innovation, and continuous upskilling. It offers experienced talent the opportunity to work on transformational initiatives, engage closely with stakeholders, and grow as trusted technology leaders within Infosys’ global delivery ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Experience in enterprise technology with proven leadership in architecture and engineering.
  • Expertise in at least three or more of the following domains: AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, MCP, A2A, LangGraph, ADK, Agentic Web Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP) Microservices & Distributed Systems API Platforms & Integration Data Engineering & Analytics Cybersecurity, SRE, DevSecOps Modern Application Development Technology Leadership & Strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture and develop platforms to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee design validation, code quality, and development of complex solutions that support organizational goals.
  • Guide experienced team members, enabling capability development and technical excellence.
  • Drive innovation at organizational and industry levels by developing roadmaps and long-term strategies for growth and transformation.
  • Contribute to strategic platforms and solutions to achieve functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Execute initiatives that drive organizational change and transformation showcasing innovative solutions.
  • Engage in high-risk project situations and contribute through effective resolution strategies.
  • Inspire transformation within the organization by promoting new technologies and methodologies that enhance operational efficiency.

  • Resolve complex test-phase issues across modules to maintain high code quality and reduce post-release defects.
  • Apply architectural expertise to design and validate platforms that align with organizational strategy and long-term goals.
  • Bring a strategic mindset to developing roadmaps, frameworks and solutions that drive transformation at scale.
  • Enable capability building by mentoring experienced technologists and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Champion innovation by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies that enhance competitiveness and efficiency.
  • Drive organizational change through initiatives balancing functional requirements with business growth objectives.
  • Set the technology vision and roadmap for strategic accounts and internal accelerators within STG.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and platforms to drive continuous innovation.
  • Act as the highest-level technical advisor for clients, senior stakeholders, and engineering teams.
  • Own end-to-end architecture for large-scale, mission-critical, and cloud-native systems.
  • Create reference architectures, reusable frameworks, proof of concepts and solution blueprints.
  • Ensure architectural consistency, performance, scalability, and security across implementations.
  • Provide hands-on guidance in solving complex engineering challenges across multiple programs.
  • Review and sign off on architecture decisions, design documents, and code quality.
  • Define best practices, engineering standards, and technology governance models.
  • Lead high-impact technical discussions with CIO/CTO-level stakeholders.
  • Translate business goals into actionable technology strategies and architectures.
  • Partner with account teams to shape new opportunities and strengthen technical credibility.
  • Drive internal innovation initiatives, PoCs, and IP creation within STG.
  • Represent Infosys at tech forums, conferences, and industry events.
  • Mentor architects, technologists, and engineering leaders to build strong internal capability.
