•$70,980 - $118,230

About The Position

As Senior Manager — Copy, you are the strategic owner of Bluemercury’s brand voice and narrative architecture. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on writing and editing to lead omni-channel storytelling that drives revenue, deepens brand equity, and elevates the client experience. You set copy strategy for integrated campaigns, two proprietary brands, and vendor partners while building a high-performing team and scalable processes. You own and evolve Bluemercury’s copy style guide and oversee content across email, site and product detail pages, SEO, social, paid media, video, in-store, print, PR, and packaging. You lead copy for proprietary-brand launches and high-stakes vendor activations, balancing storytelling with performance goals and refining messaging using channel-owner information, SEO data, analytics, consumer insights, and performance data. The role manages and develops a Junior Copywriter, builds a freelance bench, forecasts staffing needs, scopes and assigns projects, estimates copy hours, and maintains quality in an agile, fast-paced calendar. It establishes workflows, service-level agreements, and review checkpoints; collaborates with internal teams and external vendors; represents copy in go-to-market, product development, and innovation meetings; trains teams on copy best practices; and advances efficient processes and digital tools for copy development, review, and localization.
