About The Position

MSL Climate is the environmental markets division of McGill St-Laurent. We operate across regulated and voluntary carbon markets, helping clients navigate complex environmental products while developing internal trading and market strategies. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Trading Operations Coordinator to support our trading team. This role is essential to ensure the smooth execution and administration of our daily trading activities. As a Trading Operations Coordinator, you will work closely with our traders, taking ownership of the operational processes that keep our business running efficiently. Beyond supporting daily activities, you'll have the opportunity to improve workflows, leverage AI and automation, and help scale our operations as the business grows.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary studies in business administration, Commerce, Finance, law or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, operations, finance, or trading support role.
  • Experience working with contracts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Curious mindset with a strong interest in technology, automation and AI-driven process improvement.
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Professional level of English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Support the trading team and external stakeholders, throughout the trade lifecycle by coordinating administrative and operational activities – from KYC to delivery of product and reconciliation.
  • Enter and maintain accurate trade information within the ERP and other internal systems.
  • Prepare, review and organize purchase and sales contracts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify trade documentation, maintain organized records, and follow up on outstanding information.
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including drafting, review, execution, amendments, and renewals, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure trades are properly documented and executed.
  • Support traders with reporting, document preparation and other day-to-day operational needs.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve workflows by leveraging process optimization, automation and AI tools.
  • Perform other related administrative and operational duties as required.
