About The Position

This role is essential for ensuring the quality of products delivered to customers. You will work closely with production, supervision, and engineering teams to quickly identify deviations, prevent defects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.

Requirements

  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in an appropriate field (a high school diploma (DES) combined with strong experience in quality control in the glass industry could be considered).
  • Hold a minimum of two (2) years of experience in quality control, ideally in the glass industry or a related manufacturing sector.
  • Be comfortable working on the production floor, in an active manufacturing environment, and available to travel to construction sites in Quebec (occasionally in Canada and the United States).
  • Be able to communicate in French and English (written and oral) - French-speaking environment with an American corporation and American suppliers.
  • Be able to read, understand, and perform mathematical calculations and measurements (fractions and decimals), high school level or equivalent.
  • Be autonomous, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, analytical skills, and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both with field teams and management.
  • Master basic computer tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
  • Have good knowledge of ISO standards, continuous improvement, and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure product inspection at various stages of the production process and on-site when required, to guarantee compliance with quality requirements.
  • Identify, isolate, document, and report any non-conformity, and participate in internal and external investigations, including customer complaints.
  • Analyze the causes of product or process anomalies and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to improve work methods and reduce internal rejections and customer returns.
  • Participate in the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of the quality management program, including audits, certifications, and calibrations.
  • Maintain up-to-date quality documentation, calibrate measurement tools, and produce required performance reports (KPIs).
  • Train, inform, and support production employees and new hires on quality requirements and procedures.
  • Provide field support for troubleshooting and resolving quality-related issues.
  • Participate in special projects and travel to clients or construction sites as needed.
  • Maintain a regular and reliable presence on the floor, respecting health and safety rules, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other related tasks related to the function, as requested by management.
