About The Position

Haleon is seeking a Production Coordinator to join their Montreal (Saint-Laurent) team. This role is responsible for coordinating operational activities to support safety, quality, service, cost, and compliance objectives. Reporting to the Production Sector Lead, the coordinator acts as a central point for managing operational human resources, monitoring the production plan, governing deviations and CAPAs, and driving continuous improvement within the sector. This position directly contributes to optimizing the overall performance of the sector and ensuring the efficient execution of the end-to-end production flow. The Montreal facility is a manufacturing site for liquid, solid, and semi-solid health products, involving complex regulatory factors, technical processes, and high-risk activities.

Requirements

  • Fluency in French is required for effective communication and adherence to operational and regulatory standards.
  • University or college degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Administration, Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in operational coordination, production planning, continuous improvement, or capacity management.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality systems.
  • Experience in managing deviations, investigations, and CAPAs.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
  • Bilingualism required - candidates must be bilingual in French and English (written/spoken) due to the nature of the work and collaboration with stakeholders in other provinces/countries.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Sciences, or Operations Management.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, health products industry, or a highly regulated environment.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodology certification.
  • Experience with SAP, MES, Power BI, or other manufacturing management systems.
  • Experience in managing operational improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational activities to ensure efficient execution of the production plan and achievement of performance objectives.
  • Ensure daily alignment between available resources and the sector's operational needs.
  • Coordinate priorities between production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and planning teams.
  • Manage vacations, absences, replacements, personnel movements, and overtime needs.
  • Maintain competency matrices and support workforce planning.
  • Oversee deviations, quality investigations, CAPAs, and change controls.
  • Participate in root cause analyses, internal audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Compile, analyze, and communicate sector performance indicators.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate improvement projects, product transfers, process changes, and new product launches.
  • Prepare dashboards and support sector performance reviews.
