Coordinator
About The Position
The Coordinator is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience and overseeing front-of-store Associates. The role ensures prompt, courteous service and promotes loyalty programs while leading by example through customer engagement and maintaining a clean, organized store. The Coordinator trains and mentors Associates, supports register and POS coverage, coordinates breaks, handles customer concerns, and helps ensure tasks are completed according to the store plan. The position also partners with Management on training needs and supports store safety and shrink-reduction efforts.
Requirements
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
- Capable of multitasking.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Able to train others.
- One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
- Promote a culture of honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Train and mentor Associates on front-end principles.
- Train and coach Associates to personalize the customer experience and promote loyalty programs.
- Assign registers, respond to POS coverage needs, and coordinate breaks for Associates.
- Address customer concerns and issues promptly.
- Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
- Communicate priorities and progress updates accurately and effectively with Management and Associates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
