About The Position

The Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience through customer engagement, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling exceptional customer service. The Coordinator orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes processing merchandise onto the sales floor. They train and mentor Associates, monitor productivity, coach as necessary, and ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded. The role also organizes and rotates back stock, maintains merchandising and signage standards, and upholds backroom cleanliness and recovery standards. The Coordinator communicates priorities and progress to management and Associates, partners with Management on training needs, and ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures. They support shrink reduction, promote credit and loyalty programs, ensure safety awareness, and comply with recycling and applicable hazardous waste programs. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote a culture of honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
