Chicago Cares is redefining volunteerism with a commitment to community-driven service, co-designed in partnership with Chicago’s most impactful community leaders and organizations on the south and west sides. The organization focuses on building connections and bridges among diverse people, aiming to foster a more caring and just society through person-by-person engagement. The Program team is responsible for cultivating volunteerism and civic engagement, diversifying service opportunities, advancing civic action, and empowering volunteers to lead on causes they care about. They act as a catalyst for change by promoting diverse civic action opportunities and equipping organizations, corporations, and civic leaders to build a more vibrant and equitable Chicago. The Volunteer Program Coordinator will provide essential logistical, administrative, and event assistance to the Programs team, ensuring high-quality programs and effective execution of volunteer engagement models. This role also includes crucial warehouse and inventory management to support the infrastructure for these models.
