About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing daily records, maintaining filing systems, and compiling transportation pouches. The coordinator will update dispatch schedules, set up tractor/trailer assignments, and communicate with customers regarding delivery ETAs and any changes. They will also use systems to track drivers, pull data for reporting, and ensure data accuracy and compliance. Additionally, this position administers the backhaul program, contacts drivers about load assignments, and may handle driver payroll functions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Two or more years of experience in a similar position in the transportation and trucking industry.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Detail-oriented.
Solid understanding of geography and logistics.
Ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple projects.
Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

Prepares daily records and memos.
Maintains filing system for Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Compiles transportation pouches including route manifests, invoices, special customer notifications, maps, and keys for drivers.
Updates driver and helper dispatch schedules daily.
Sets up daily tractor/trailer assignments for drivers.
Contacts customers daily to notify them of any changes to their delivery ETA and records conversation details.
Schedules special loads and notifies customers of pertinent information.
Uses systems to track and locate drivers and pulls data for reporting purposes.
Ensures data is accurate and compliant with company policies and applicable regulations.
Administers the backhaul program by establishing pick-up appointments with vendors and assigning driver trainees to pick up product.
Contacts drivers about load assignments and schedule changes.
May handle Driver Payroll functions.
