About The Position

Under the supervision of the Healthcare Leadership directs, coordinates and facilitates the surgical scheduling activities of all clinic physicians. Utilizes appropriate administrative, financial and operational policies and procedures to facilitate continuity of care for the surgical patient. Acts as liaison between the department and other surgical and financial areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated knowledge of specialty surgical procedures with associated acuity levels and specialized equipment, ancillary services and staffing needs.
  • 1 year of experience scheduling in a healthcare environment required.
  • CPC (Certified Procedural Coder) certification required within 12 months of hire or transfer.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Terminology Course
  • Experience in electronic surgical scheduling program a plus.
