About The Position

The Shipping, Receiving & OSP Coordinator is responsible for managing all inbound and outbound material flow, maintaining inventory accuracy and full AS9100 traceability, and coordinating Outside Service Providers (OSP) to ensure production schedules and customer delivery commitments are met. This role plays a critical part in on-time delivery performance, documentation control, and special process compliance. Will be responsible for the people in shipping and receiving as in daily deliveries, cross training, performance reviews and discipline.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment (aerospace preferred)
  • Experience coordinating outside service suppliers strongly preferred
  • Forklift experience required
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (LN experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process domestic and international shipments (parcel, LTL, freight, customer routing)
  • Generate packing slips, certifications, and required shipping documentation
  • Verify part numbers, revisions, quantities, and lot/heat traceability prior to shipment
  • Ensure all required documentation (C of C, material certs, special process certs, FAIRs when applicable) is complete before shipment
  • Coordinate priority shipments with Planning and Operations to support monthly revenue targets
  • Package product in accordance with customer and internal specifications
  • Receive and inspect incoming raw material, outside processing returns, and customer-supplied product
  • Verify purchase orders, quantities, revisions, and certifications
  • Ensure material and special process certifications are complete and properly retained
  • Maintain product identification and traceability per AS9100 requirements
  • Process ERP transactions including receipts, transfers, and inventory adjustments
  • Communicate discrepancies to Purchasing and Quality
  • Prepare and ship parts to approved outside service providers (plating, heat treat, coating, grinding, NDT, etc.)
  • Ensure proper documentation accompanies each OSP shipment (work orders, drawings, specifications)
  • Track OSP due dates to support production schedules and on-time delivery goals
  • Maintain OSP status logs and proactively follow up on open orders
  • Verify special process certifications upon return
  • Coordinate with Quality for review and acceptance of OSP documentation
  • Escalate late deliveries or nonconforming products to customers in timely manner
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce OSP lead times and improve flow
  • Visit suppliers to help drive on time delivery and resolve quality issues.
  • Weekly cadence with suppliers to ensure on time delivery and quality parts.
