About The Position
The Coordinator of Security Systems manages all aspects of the physical security program for designated campuses across the enterprise. The role assesses security needs, develops system designs and project scopes, coordinates projects and equipment servicing, and supports the review and programming of security technology. The position is based at 466 Lexington Avenue and requires on-site presence, with travel between campuses as needed. It is a Monday–Friday day-shift role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience working with security systems.
- Highly organized, with excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Good judgment, problem-solving ability, and strategic thinking.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Diversity awareness and understanding and respect for cultural differences.
- Ability to travel between campuses as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree.
- ASIS Physical Security Professional certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Manage the physical security program for designated campuses across the enterprise.
- Consult with internal clients, assess physical security needs through surveys and threat analysis, and provide recommendations.
- Determine the scope of physical security work, design security systems, and obtain project proposals.
- Coordinate physical security projects, including work with internal departments such as OFD, OFO, and IT.
- Manage projects from beginning to completion, ensuring adherence to the intended scope of work and compliance with internal protocols.
- Coordinate service and maintenance of physical security equipment and reconcile invoices.
- Maintain detailed records of projects, proposals, awarded projects, and service calls.
- Help assess security technology and equipment for potential physical security solutions.
- Program security software and collaborate with vendors and colleagues to program security systems; address changes to program logic as needed.
- Establish, document, and maintain technology builds, best practices, and standards.
- Assist with investigations by reviewing security data, including CCTV, card access, and audio, as necessary.
