About The Position

The Coordinator Security SOC (System Operations Center) Blue Watch monitors and responds to security-related incidents and reports throughout the JetBlue system from the Blue Watch security desk in the System Operations Center. The coordinator provides real-time assessment and guidance on inflight and ground security incidents and access-control breaches, supports responses to law-enforcement inquiries, and helps resolve security matters that affect JetBlue operations. The role also documents incidents, prepares reports and analytical spreadsheets, makes timely notifications to leadership, and supports adherence to security and safety standards. This position is based onsite in a traditional office environment and supports a 24/7 operational desk. The role requires availability for any and all shifts, with potential flexible hours and short-notice responses. Overnight travel of up to 10% may be required. The stated base pay range is $58,000 to $86,000 per year. Total compensation may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, and access to benefits and other programs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One year of office, administrative, or clerical experience.
One year of experience in aviation operations, law enforcement, or the private security sector.
Complete fluency in written and spoken English.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and under pressure.
Ability to work any and all shifts to support a 24/7 operational desk.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Availability for overnight travel (10%).
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located; U.S. work authorization is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and be available for flexible hours or short-notice responses when needed.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Three years of experience in aviation operations, law enforcement, or the private security sector.
Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to security-related incidents and reports throughout the JetBlue system from the Blue Watch security desk.
Work closely with the Manager System Operations Center to provide real-time assessment and guidance on inflight and ground security incidents and access-control breaches.
Respond to inquiries from federal, state, and local law-enforcement authorities.
Interpret and disseminate security regulations and information to JetBlue entities as needed, including resolving TSA no-fly and selectee issues.
Facilitate resolution of security circumstances that affect JetBlue operations.
Make timely notifications to leadership about matters affecting operations.
Document reported incidents in the department database.
Prepare written reports and analytical spreadsheets as necessary.
Comply with and ensure adherence to security and safety standards.
Identify and report safety or security concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards, including through JetBlue reporting systems when possible.
Support JetBlue’s Safety Management System components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards as a Safety Ambassador.
Perform other duties as assigned.
