Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field
Valid NJ Driver’s License required
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in psychiatric emergency, crisis intervention or acute behavioral health services
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and be self-directed in a fast-paced crisis environment.

Nice To Haves

Ability to speak and understand Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the delivery of comprehensive psychiatric emergency services provided to patients and families in accordance with departmental performance standards.
As part of an integrated behavioral health team, provides crisis screening, brief non-clinical counseling, referrals and skills training; crisis management support; care coordination and follow-up.
Participates in case conferences, interdisciplinary teams, protocol development and evaluation.
