About The Position

Support districtwide outreach and recruitment of prospective students for all Collin College academic and/or workforce programs, including communication efforts and event management. Represent Collin College at outreach events with local high schools and community agencies, through classroom presentations, college/career fairs, campus tours, and the Mobile Go Center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution required.
  • Two (2) years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of Collin College academic degrees, programs, certificates, scholarships, admissions process
  • Knowledge of Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Knowledge of campus resources and specialization
  • Knowledge of institutional hiring and supervising procedures
  • Knowledge of student development and registrar/enrollment management

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating communication recruitment efforts to support movement from prospective student to enrolled student.
  • Coordinate Mobile Go Center outreach events with local ISD schools and in the community.
  • Coordinate recruiting opportunities with the Texas Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO).
  • Develop and coordinate college recruitment programs/events in area high schools.
  • Schedule College 101 and Collin College presentations for high school and middle school populations.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student ambassadors.
  • Prepare and disseminate Collin College publications to high school counselors and administrators.
  • Coordinate ISD and community group tours at all main campus sites throughout the district.
  • Coordinate college information booths/tables at community events. such as the Plano Balloon Festival.
  • Advise and assist students in developing an academic plan, course selection, schedule changes, course transferability, unofficial transcript evaluation, and course withdrawals.
  • Establish working relationships with various personnel at local institutions and organizations to promote the college's academic and/or workforce programs.
  • Travel within the service area to promote college programs or to attend seminars, workshops, meetings, etc.
  • Prepare reports and evaluations of programs implemented to include tracking and follow-up with prospective students.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Remain current in knowledge of external communication best practices to collaborate and assist in creating district publications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values.
