Coordinator-Outpatient Service
About The Position
The Coordinator-Outpatient Service provides customer service to patients referred for services. This role coordinates patient care services while serving as a patient advocate to facilitate the delivery of optimal patient care. Responsibilities include performing transcription, scheduling patient appointments, and phone coverage. The position ensures all procedure reports are completed and distributed to referring physicians and reporting agencies in a timely manner. Additionally, the role assists with the implementation of new programs within the division and serves as a resource and trainer for other staff. Other duties as needed are also part of this role.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical/physician practice setting as an administrative support staff or coordinator position.
- Able to use a computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
- Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
- Able to collaborate and accept direction.
- Able to think critically.
- Able to manage multiple assignments effectively.
- Able to organize and prioritize workload.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Able to problem solve.
- Able to recall information with accuracy.

- Associate`s Degree in Business preferred.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
