About The Position

The Coordinator-Outpatient Service provides customer service to patients referred for services. They coordinate patient care services while serving as a patient advocate and facilitating the delivery of optimal patient care. This role involves performing transcription, scheduling patient appointments, and handling phone coverage. The Coordinator ensures all procedure reports are completed and distributed to referring physicians and reporting agencies in a timely manner. They also assist with the implementation of new programs within the division and serve as a resource and trainer for other staff. Other duties as needed are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medical/physician practice setting as an administrative support staff or coordinator position.
  • Able to use a computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Able to collaborate and accept direction.
  • Able to think critically.
  • Able to manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Able to work well under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Business preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
