Under limited supervision, the Coordinator of New Student Orientation (NSO) will be responsible for the planning, scheduling and implementation of NSO sessions, hiring and training student leaders and assistants, and coordinating campus tours as needed with the orientation team and student ambassadors. This individual will coordinate reminder and follow up calls for NSO participants, track NSO enrollment numbers and contact students who miss their scheduled session. This position will assist with academic advisor caseload management by identifying students enrolled in courses who have missed their NSO. Coordinate classroom-use schedule and logistics (including technology requirements), update orientation material on a regular basis to ensure that all policies and procedures are current. In addition, the Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage students in the orientation sessions, assist with enrollment based initiatives at the campus, and develop and implement First Flight programming on the campus. Some travel may be required. This position allows eligible Veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans’ Preference pursuant to Florida Statute 295.
