The Métis Bail Supervision Coordinator operates within their designated city, providing virtual and in-person services. This role is responsible for case management support for Métis individuals actively involved in the criminal justice system at the bail and bail release phase. Key duties include creating client-led bail plans, supporting clients during bail supervision, ensuring clients understand the conditions of their bail release, providing post-bail release supervision check-ins, and making appropriate client referrals. The Coordinator is also responsible for supporting clients released on bail to the Métis Bail Supervision Program and for meeting with relevant stakeholders to build partnerships for creating referral streams. This position is essential for providing care and support to the citizens of the Métis Nation as outlined in the Statement of Prime Purpose and reports to the Supervisor of Advocacy.
