The Métis Bail Supervision Coordinator operates within their designated city, providing virtual and in-person services. The Métis Bail Supervision Coordinator is responsible for the provision of case management support for Métis persons who are actively involved in the criminal justice system at the bail and bail release phase. This includes creating client-led bail plans, supporting clients during bail supervision, ensuring clients understand the conditions of their bail release, provide post-bail release supervision check-ins, and appropriate client referrals. The Métis Bail Supervision Coordinator is responsible for supporting clients released on bail to the Métis Bail Supervision Program. The Métis Bail Supervision Coordinator is responsible for meeting with relevant stakeholders to build partnerships for the purpose of creating referral streams to the MNO Bail Supervision program. The position is essential to our work to provide care and support necessary to meet the fundamental needs of the citizens of the Métis Nation as outlined in the Statement of Prime Purpose. This position reports to the Supervisor of Advocacy.
