About The Position

The Coordinator, Mentorship supports mentor and mentee recruitment, matching, and relationship development nationally. Working under the guidance of the Executive Lead, Mentorship & Talent Development, the Coordinator will provide wrap around support to promote, identify and onboard qualified participants, continuously growing the mentor pool to expand program reach and impact. The Coordinator, Mentorship will support virtual matching aligned with participant goals, in demand industries/sectors, and will support all activities and events to scale the program. They will oversee mentorship data entry and reporting to ensure accurate tracking of match progress, paired engagement and outcomes. The Coordinator, Mentorship will provide ongoing support to matched pairs to foster meaningful connections and desired goal attainment.

Requirements

  • Strong program delivery and coordination skills.
  • Strong data management and reporting skills.
  • Experience or exposure of mentorship best practices, recruitment and onboarding activities and engagement techniques.
  • Experience delivering presentations and utilization of virtual platforms such as Zoom or Teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in employer mentorship, career development, stakeholder cultivation or community engagement.
  • Experience using customer relationship management software for data tracking, reporting, and generating insights.
  • Experience coordinating or supporting programs.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce is an asset.
  • Knowledge of mentorship program delivery, goal setting accommodation and accessibility, or employment supports for individuals who are blind, Deafblind, or partially sighted is an asset.
  • Ability to use AI tools to increase workflow and administrative efficiency is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in business development, community mentorship, or a related field.
  • Work experience in non-profit sector is an asset
  • Knowledge of adaptive technology an asset
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and low vision is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day administration and promotion of Come to Work’s national Mentorship program to ensure a consistent experience for all program participants.
  • Promote and provide awareness information on the referral process for Come to Work staff, regional and other CNIB teams.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the intake process and monthly matching meetings.
  • Support and participate in recruitment activities and events seeking experienced Mentors within desired industries or roles.
  • Lead the administration of the onboarding process including the distribution of volunteer resources, establishing meeting logistics for matched one-to-one participants using Zoom or other applicable meeting software.
  • Deliver monthly Mentee or Mentor orientation sessions.
  • Coordinate the Group Mentoring sessions or events and liaise with Mentors, regional colleagues, vocational or Employer partners to expand the scope of mentoring opportunities for participants.
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues to align on funding priorities and share program updates and reports on a timely basis.
  • Follow Salesforce workflows and documentation to track and maintain accurate records of one-to-one and group mentoring activities.
  • Support the development and enhancement of accessible participant resources, including the use of AI tools to improve efficiency and participant experience.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Mentorship processes by monitoring participant feedback and industry trends.
  • Provide timely and thoughtful responses for participant, vocational and Employer partner inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned including special projects and events.
