This role is responsible for supporting the Manager, MEL Program Office in the development, publishing, and operation of the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and MEL Management Manual (MMM), Configuration Deviation List (CDL), Non-Essential Equipment and Furnishings List (NEF), and Time Deferred items (TDI) program functions in compliance with 14CFR 121.628. The MEL Capture Coordinator ensures an Acceptable Level of safety (ALoS) by planning MEL repairs at the earliest practicable opportunity and acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the research, authoring, and counselling of the MEL Steering Committee. The role monitors, reports, and coordinates resolution actions to restore aircraft to type design by ensuring the parts, personnel, facilities, procedures, and schedules are within the prescribed deferral limits, company goals, and special requirements.
