About The Position

Develops and supports the College’s partnerships with employers and with other education and training institutions. Researches and maintains a pipeline of prospective partners, staffs multi-state and regional partnership initiatives, documents and communicates the College’s earn-and-learn training approaches, and prepares the reporting and written materials those partnerships require. The position is designed to grow in scope and responsibility as the College’s industry partnership and training enterprise expands.

Requirements

Two years related work experience.
Bachelor's degree.
Workforce training program design, delivery, and partnership models.
Earn-and-learn and work-based learning approaches, including apprenticeship.
Employer and institutional partnership development practices.
Contract, grant, and agreement terminology and processes.
Federal, state, business, and other agency contract and grant processes.
Program funds management and allocation.
Data documentation, manipulation, and reporting processes.
Standards and proposal guidelines for contract and grant writing and documentation.
Maintaining an established work schedule.
Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills, including tact and diplomacy.
Building and sustaining working relationships with external organizations.
Writing clearly for external audiences, including employers, partner institutions, and funders.
Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
Coordinating meetings, convenings, and multi-organization working groups.
Data collection, analysis, and report writing.
Coordinating all phases of contract and grant management processes including budgets.
Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
Working and interacting with diverse groups of people.
Effectively handling details of multiple projects with varying timelines.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree.
Experience developing or supporting employer partnerships in a workforce development, economic development, or higher education setting preferred.
Experience with apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, or other work-based learning programs preferred.
Experience coordinating multi-organization initiatives, consortium projects, or grant-funded partnerships preferred.
Experience preparing written materials, case studies, or reports for external audiences preferred.
Experience working with semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or other technical workforce populations preferred.
Experience coordinating technical skills training programs in a public or higher education setting preferred.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

Researches, builds, and maintains a pipeline of prospective employer and institutional partners; tracks regional expansion, relocation, and hiring activity; and prepares partner profiles and briefing materials that support the Dean and Vice Chancellor in partnership conversations.
Staffs regional and multi-state partnership initiatives on behalf of the College: schedules and prepares convenings, develops agendas and materials, records commitments and follow-up, and maintains ongoing communication with partner institutions and employers across participating states.
Gathers, documents, and synthesizes earn-and-learn training practices — apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship, internships, incumbent-worker upskilling, and other work-based learning models — from the College and from partner institutions; develops case studies and practice summaries suitable for partner, employer, and funder audiences.
Develops and produces annual and interim reports summarizing regional partnership activity: solicits contributions from partner organizations, compiles and edits submitted material, verifies accuracy, and prepares a consolidated report for funders and partners on schedule.
Prepares and maintains materials describing the College’s training services, delivery models, and credential offerings, working with learning design and instructional staff so that materials reflect current program capability and are usable in partner-facing settings.
Identifies funding models — including apprenticeship and other work-based learning funding sources — that could support expanded training delivery for employers and partner institutions; summarizes options, requirements, and precedents for consideration by College leadership.
Supports the development of training agreements and proposals: assembles supporting documentation, drafts sections of proposals and scopes of work, coordinates internal review, and tracks agreements through the approval process.
Performs technical, analytical, and related tasks for the collection, interpretation, aggregation, and evaluation of partnership and program data; gathers and maintains the integrity of the data used for program and grant reporting.
Leads in the development and writing of progress, annual, and closeout reports, including grant-related reporting as necessary.
Coordinates college and outside personnel involved in partnership and training development activities; coordinates schedules, materials, participant documentation, and other project-related requirements.
As necessary, assists the Austin Community College Grant Writing Department and grant-funded project teams to develop, write, revise, edit, and submit proposals to funding agencies; ensures submission criteria are met.
As necessary, participates in technical training provided by funding agencies and stays informed of changing grant standards and guidelines.
