About The Position

The Coordinator for Residential Facilities provides oversight for residential asset inventory and maintenance response at NGU. This position is a 12-month, full-time with benefits position housed with Campus Ministries and Student Engagement (CMSE). This person reports directly to the AVP for Student Life and is required to live on campus. This person plays a key role in helping develop transformational leaders for church and society, specifically within the residence halls. This person is expected to live in accordance with a Christian code of conduct and to take a Christian discipleship orientated approach to the training and leading of the Student Leadership Team. This position takes charge of managing the residential assets and maintenance response by collaborating closely the other coordinator for residential facilities along with Campus Enhancement Services (CES), Budd Group and NGU Tigerville Operations. The person should effectively engage with a diverse group of individuals, including students, faculty, and staff. They will strive for excellence in Residential Services and cultivate strong, discipleship-oriented relationships with students in the residential community while serving their felt needs.

  • Affirms an understanding of and willingness not to advocate contrary to the University's statement on Human Flourishing.
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and problem solve with frequent interruptions.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
  • Integrates Biblical standards within all assigned responsibilities and approaches student engagement from a Christian, ministerial approach. (mention prayer, chapel, mentorship, spiritual counseling, crisis care)
  • Ability to develop and maintain healthy relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to think creatively, improve current processes, and develop new initiatives.
  • Desires to live beyond the job description to better the NGU community through Christian service and discipleship.
  • Demonstrates a desire to seek excellence in all they do.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Student Life in developing methods, plans, and policies that align with the goals of Campus Ministries and Student Engagement (CMSE).
  • Manage residential facilities inventory for all residential buildings at the Tigerville campus. This includes cataloging all assets, managing life cycles of assets, ordering replacements, and assisting in strategic planning.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of each residential space at a minimum once a semester and at the end of summer to evaluate all furniture, mattresses, and other resident hall assets.
  • Assist in managing and responding to work orders for residence halls.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to the residential facilities.
  • Provide support with housing placements when the Coordinator of Residential Services is out of the office or during peak room assignment seasons.
  • Help manage non-standard check-in days (such as during football events or for summer staff).
  • Work closely with the Campus Enhancement team, Budd Group, and NGU Operations to ensure that relevant departments are informed about issues in the residence halls.
  • Complete other projects and assignments from the AVP for Student Life.
