About The Position

The Distributor Coordinator is responsible for managing client products throughout the supply chain and serving as a key point of contact between distributors, business managers, the sales force, stores, and clients. This role supports efficient product flow by coordinating inventory control, purchase orders, code dates, pricing, product availability, and promotional activity. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable communicating across multiple business partners to help ensure timely delivery, accurate inventory visibility, and strong client service.

Requirements

• Computer literacy with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Sit for extended periods (typically 6+ hours per day).
• Use a computer, including keyboard and mouse, for prolonged periods.
• Lift and carry light items (e.g., files, office supplies, laptops, typically 20+ pounds).
• Reach, bend, or stoop occasionally to access files or office materials.
• Maintain focus and attention for long periods of desk-based work.
• Follow clear directions.
• Perform repetitive motions (e.g., typing, clicking) consistently throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

• Some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of food management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributors with the information needed to set up and order new items; monitor purchase order progress, resolve shipping issues, and communicate product availability to Business Managers and the sales force.
• Manage the life cycle of client one-time-buy items by following up with distributors to support on-time delivery, communicating item arrival to the sales department, tracking store-level item flow, and identifying stores that are not meeting assigned quotas.
• Communicate phased-out items to distributors and track inventory through completion; provide updates to Business Managers and the sales force, identify disposal stores, and help minimize client liability.
• Manage inventory for date-sensitive items to help minimize price reductions; report code date concerns to Business Managers and the sales force.
• Communicate dead stock concerns at distributor locations to Business Managers and the sales force.
• Assist Business Managers with resolving pricing discrepancies between distributors and clients.
• Partner with Business Managers and the sales force to coordinate ordering plans for large promotions.
