About The Position

Under some supervision, performs work activities and projects requiring technical knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives. This role involves coordinating work activities of others within a work group, team, or externally including contractors and vendors to resolve technical tasks and field work activities. The position requires demonstrating technical knowledge and analytical techniques to solve problems, participating in the planning and organization of outage/project work activities, and making decisions. It also involves monitoring labor relations, developing rapport with contractors, providing training and guidance to lower-level employees, and pursuing effective ways to protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable electricity at a competitive cost. The Senior Coordinator role involves more complex problem-solving, working independently, developing rapport with customers, managing conflict, building consensus, presenting reports, leading meetings, and providing input to project planning and scheduling. It also includes assisting in evaluating contracting methods, reviewing drawings, preparing cost estimates, and monitoring work according to schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university or college; OR Associate's technical degree and 3 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction, or maintenance of systems and/or equipment; OR High school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction, or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.
Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in work activities and projects requiring technical knowledge.

Position requires working outside in all types of weather and exposure to hazardous materials.

Assists in evaluating contracting methods, reviewing drawings and preparing basic cost estimates using established standards.
Monitors work according to schedule and recommend necessary actions.
