About The Position

Under some supervision, performs work activities and projects requiring technical knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives. This role spans from Coordinator Associate to Senior levels, involving varied assignments that demonstrate technical knowledge and analytical techniques to solve problems or analysis. Responsibilities include participating in company and contractor meetings, evaluating contracting methods, preparing cost estimates, planning and organizing outage/project work activities, and preparing technical reports. The role also involves applying problem-solving skills, understanding labor relations, and working collaboratively with others. Higher levels involve coordinating work activities of others, making decisions, providing training and guidance, and ensuring work is performed in accordance with policies and procedures. Senior coordinators demonstrate the ability to solve moderately complex problems independently, manage conflict, build consensus, and lead meetings effectively. They also provide input to project planning and scheduling, monitor work according to schedule, and recommend necessary actions.

  • Understanding of business unit financial and operations systems and databases preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with providing input to annual budget, capital forecasts, five-year plan and improvement requisitions.
  • Perform varied assignments demonstrating technical knowledge and analytical techniques to solve problems or analysis.
  • Participate in company and contractor meetings covering outage/project schedule, safety issues and operations and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist in evaluating contracting methods, reviewing drawings and preparing basic cost estimates using established standards.
  • Participate in the planning and organization of outage/project work activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and papers.
  • Apply problem solving skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solution techniques.
  • Understand and monitor labor relation activities; develop and maintain rapport to assure cooperation and productive working relationships with contractors.
  • Work with others in both supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary.
  • Coordinate work activities of others within work group, team or those external to the company including contractors and vendors as required to resolve routine technical tasks and field work activities.
  • Make decisions and contribute to team decision making and consensus building.
  • Provide training and guidance to lower-level employees as appropriate.
  • Pursue effective ways to protect and enhance the environment while providing reliable electricity at a competitive cost.
  • Monitors Work and Asset Management to ensure that work is performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates ability to work beyond routine assignments by solving moderately complex problems.
  • Works independently in resolving complex problems.
  • Participates in providing training, performance improvements for projects and activities of lower level employees or peers.
  • Develops and maintains rapport to assure cooperation and productive working relationships with customers.
  • Effectively manages conflict and builds consensus for agreement concerning business and/or work issues.
  • Clearly and concisely develops and presents or reviews reports with customers as needed.
  • Initiates, leads and facilitates meetings effectively.
