About The Position

Forbes is seeking a Coordinator, Audience & Community Marketing to join their Audience Development & Community Marketing team. This role will support the team in growing the audience for Forbes' in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. The Coordinator will work cross-functionally with multiple departments and support a wide range of marketing functions. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn. This role will operate in a remote/hybrid capacity, with a preference for candidates based in the New York or New Jersey area to support local events and in-person collaboration as needed. Travel and on-site event support will be expected based on the event schedule.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant event marketing experience.
  • B.A. degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in the field of marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks, multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing business/client needs.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and strong willingness to learn, with ability to analyze complex problems and recommend solutions.
  • Understanding of tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Pardot, Knak, Event Registration Platforms and Project Management Platforms.
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Work across business groups to define and execute opportunities for live marketing, audience growth & data acquisition, across multiple channels: newsletters, partners, advertising, communities, and social.
  • Draft copy to align with event campaigns that will be utilized across multiple channels (email, social, newsletter, etc.).
  • Build landing pages for assigned events via WordPress.
  • Build registration modules in the ticketing platform (Bizzabo)—create discount codes, set up confirmation emails, etc.
  • Identify event marketing partnerships that expand audience reach and support registration and attendance goals.
  • Research additional resources and vendors to enable audience/database growth esp. as it relates to the communities we serve.
  • Manage weekly Audience Development event agendas, consolidating team updates and presenting key marketing efforts, priorities and progress to the broader events team.
  • Maintain event timelines and meeting schedules, and help manage the marketing process from planning through approvals, including stakeholder communication.
  • Create operational emails and work with the Demand Gen team to execute in a timely manner.
  • Develop a strong understanding of lead generation strategies and support the creation of campaigns that identify, engage and convert prospective event attendees.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to coordinate marketing initiatives.
  • Proofread marketing emails: review emails across the team before deployment to ensure no errors have been made (typos, grammar, punctuation, formatting etc.).
  • Monitor event marketing trends, industry news and emerging best practices to identify new opportunities and strategies that can strengthen audience engagement and event performance.
  • Track and maintain week-over-week and year-over-year event analysis, post-event data folders and more.
  • Identify opportunities to thoughtfully integrate AI tools into reporting, database management and team workflows to strengthen analysis and streamline recurring processes.
  • Work with the entire Audience Development team to implement digital surveys focused on virtual and in-person experiences to understand event impact and identify future improvement opportunities.
  • Work with audience and community marketing counterparts to ensure database crossover and overuse are minimized.
  • Manage Freshdesk customer service escalation tickets for multiple events, ensure all customer inquiries are met and any issues are forwarded accordingly in a timely fashion.
  • Respond to inquiries and responses and convert prospects accordingly.
  • Assist with setting up on-site technology needs at registration.
  • Maintain professional demeanor as the first point of contact for event attendees.
  • Be informed and knowledgeable about event details to address attendee questions, serving as an event support Help Desk to ensure attendees are supported appropriately.
  • Work with the Logistics Team to understand your role and call times for the event.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000.
