About The Position

The Coordinator, Annual Fund will be strongly focused on achieving the National Park Foundation digital fundraising goals while assisting in managing the daily activities of the monthly donor, direct mail, and associated direct response programs. This dynamic person will take an important role working with the senior director and managers of NPF’s direct response programs to strengthen and grow fundraising campaigns and strategies utilizing email, digital ads, website, social media, peer-to-peer, canvassing, direct mail and more to grow the number of NPF donors and increase unrestricted revenue while methodically shifting donors to online and recurring giving, aligning with the foundation’s ambitious KPIs. The coordinator will promote all forms of digital fundraising, champion monthly sustainer giving, work to improve donor retention, increase upgrading, and monitor giving trends. The candidate will also work across the team to streamline and integrate processes and strategies between digital, direct mail, and other direct response programs. The candidate will be a critical team member, tasked with helping to move the program forward in the digital age while assisting in the management of core production responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment. This position requires an understanding/experience (or a very strong eagerness and ability to learn) about digital fundraising, nonprofits, and the importance of exceptional donor communications and solicitations.

Requirements

  • Some knowledge of fundraising with an emphasis on email, digital advertising, direct mail, canvassing, and/or telemarketing.
  • Strong oral, written, editorial, grammatical, and mathmatical skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills combined with high-quality work.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated ability to be flexible, work independently, collaborate with others as needed, make sound decisions, and exercise good judgment and professionalism.
  • Technical skills including a high degree of comfort with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven ability to manage changing project deadlines, prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and provide follow-up to open requests.
  • Strong communication and editing skills with superior attention to detail; proven capabilities to draft correspondence, reports, and other written communications.
  • Experience using donor databases a plus and familiarity with database concepts, with preferred experience with Blackbaud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior director, managers, and agency staff to develop and deploy communications/solicitations through digital advertising, email, direct mail, and other channels.
  • Manage and/or assist with scheduling, proofreading, image selection, data review, content gathering, invoice processing and expense tracking.
  • Manage and/or assist in tracking revenue, campaigns, test results, and KPIs.
  • Update and maintain the direct response campaign calendar.
  • Liaise with Donor Services team to field questions and concerns to ensure strong donor stewardship.
  • Keep other departments informed about direct response communications and solicitations, including Donor Services, Planned & Midlevel Giving, and Social Media staff.
  • Manage individual peer-to-peer personal fundraisers, working with donors and constituents for campaign setup, reporting, and any follow-ups as needed.
  • Coordinate with Communications and Social Media teams regarding Facebook and other social media fundraising messaging and campaigns.
  • Support other ways to give as needed.
