About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs, the Annual Fund and Partnerships Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Sacramento State Athletics’ philanthropic, corporate, and NIL engagement efforts. As an integral member of the development and external affairs team, the incumbent oversees a wide range of donor and partner stewardship initiatives, supports the fulfillment of corporate sponsorships, and assists in the coordination of NIL activations. This position is responsible for managing donor and partner communications, executing solicitation and stewardship strategies, ensuring timely fulfillment of all sponsorship and NIL deliverables, and supporting game-day and special event operations. The Coordinator maintains accurate donor, partner, and NIL records; prepares performance documentation; and assists in developing reports, renewal materials, and engagement strategies that strengthen philanthropic support and corporate partnerships. Working collaboratively with University Advancement, marketing, communications, and sport programs, the incumbent ensures cohesive brand alignment, accurate reporting, and a high standard of service to donors, partners, and student-athletes. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, events-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Experience performing clerical and/or administrative support duties in a busy office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and communicate policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional correspondence and external communications.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external constituents, donors, and partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn NCAA regulations related to fundraising, NIL, and corporate partnerships.
  • Ability to coordinate fulfillment activities for sponsorship and NIL agreements, including tracking deliverables, proof of performance, and reporting metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment and independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in office technology systems and donor/CRM databases.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in annual fund development, partnership activation, or NIL administration.
  • Experience in intercollegiate athletics or a Division I institutional environment.
