About The Position

The Coordinator, Academic Advising and Professional Development Services (CAAPDS) serves as a primary point of contact for prospective and current undergraduate students, providing comprehensive academic advising. Additionally, the Coordinator contributes to decision-making and strategic discussions regarding undergraduate programming and supports key strategic initiatives across the faculty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience in post-secondary academic program administration, academic advising, student and alumni engagement, and planning; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion principles and practices; strong Emotional Intelligence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, performing under pressure, and dealing with difficult individuals while maintaining composure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages, to plan ahead by anticipating problems and to forecast outcomes.
  • Excellent knowledge of post-secondary academic and professional development programming and advising.
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills, demonstrating a strong attention to detail.
