Requirements
- Have earned your high school diploma (or will graduate prior to program start).
- Plan to enroll, or are currently enrolled, in an approved Diesel Technology, Construction Equipment, Agricultural Equipment, or related technical program.
- Have strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through school, hobbies, work experience, or personal projects.
- Enjoy solving mechanical problems and working with your hands.
- Work well independently and as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Have a strong attendance record and positive attitude.
- Are committed to maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
- Have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Intend to pursue a long-term career with Aksela after graduation.
- Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
- Successfully complete both classroom and workplace learning requirements.
- Demonstrate Aksela's core values in school, at work, and in the community.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
- Make satisfactory progress toward graduation while actively participating in internship opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced technicians inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing foundation drilling and construction equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and engine systems.
- Learn industry-leading diagnostic and repair techniques using advanced tools and technology.
- Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities.
- Develop safe work habits while following company policies and procedures.
- Represent Aksela professionally at work, school, and within your community.
- Build the technical skills needed for a successful career as an equipment technician.
