About The Position

HOKALI is hiring an After School Enrichment Educator to lead a cooking program in Modesto. The role involves supervising and engaging students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade and creating safe, supportive, and engaging after-school learning experiences. Instructors with teaching experience are actively sought. Structured lesson plans are provided, with flexibility to bring personal ideas to class.

The program runs October 21 through December 16 on Wednesdays. Sessions are 1:30–2:15 PM for TK, kindergarten, and first grade; 2:25–3:25 PM for second through fourth grades; and 3:35–4:35 PM for fifth through eighth grades. Compensation is $50 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to complete three hours of online training.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and lead engaging recreational and enrichment activities.
• Facilitate positive social interactions and encourage teamwork.
• Manage student behavior effectively using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records.
• Prepare and organize activity materials, and keep spaces clean and safe.
