About The Position

The Cooker Operator operates the PLC-controlled machinery and monitors pumps and grinders to support quality assurance. The position operates the cooking process within selected parameters, documents plant operations under the GMP program, and reports issues or maintenance problems to the shift manager. It also involves cleaning floors and machinery and blowing grease lines as required. Employees must work safely, attend all safety meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Work safely and in a controlled manner.
Dependable and reliable.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience.
Prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment.
Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate PLC-controlled machinery.
Monitor pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance.
Blow grease lines as required.
Clean floors and machinery, including shoveling, hosing, and using wheelbarrows and PITs.
Operate the cooking process within selected parameters.
Document plant operations per the GMP program.
Notify the shift manager of issues or maintenance problems.
Attend all safety meetings.
Conduct oneself in a safe and controlled manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
