About The Position

The Cooker Operator 2 operates PLCs to control machinery and monitors pumps and grinders to support quality assurance. The role operates the cooking process within selected parameters, performs cleaning and grease-line work, and documents plant operations under the GMP program. The operator must work safely, report issues or maintenance problems to the shift manager, and attend required safety meetings. Management may assign or reassign duties, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least two years of prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Works well with others in a team environment.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct oneself in a safe and controlled manner at all times.
• Blow grease lines as required.
• Clean floors and machinery, including shoveling, hosing, and using wheelbarrows and PITs.
• Operate the cooking process within selected parameters.
• Document plant operations according to the GMP program.
• Notify the shift manager of issues or maintenance problems.
• Attend all required safety meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
