About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role contributes to the experience of residents and the community by preparing food that meets HCSG standards for quality, taste, and presentation. The Cook follows menus, recipes, dietary restrictions, and food safety and sanitation guidelines, while helping maintain kitchen cleanliness and supporting inventory and supply ordering. The position also involves positive customer service interactions with residents, staff, and guests.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification, when required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities
