About The Position

Corpus Christi Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a PRN Cook to provide healthy food for patients, employees, and visitors. The Cook prepares food while following strict safety standards, creates menus, and orders supplies for the hospital kitchen and cafeteria. The role also integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.

The position requires a Food Handlers License and knowledge of patient diets, safe food handling requirements, and the Nutritional Care Manual. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; equivalent education or experience is required. The role also calls for knowledge of clinical operations and procedures, strong organizational and time-management skills, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to maintain quality, safety, confidentiality, and infection-control standards while working professionally with others.

Requirements

• Food Handlers License required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent education or experience required.
• Knowledge of patient diets, safe food handling requirements, and use of the Nutritional Care Manual.
