About The Position

The Cook prepares food for the Food Service department according to manual guidelines and produces quality food and products that meet or exceed customer and company expectations. The role provides prompt, courteous customer service and contributes to a friendly, positive, and fun working environment through flexibility and teamwork. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple areas with varying responsibilities.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks.
Ability to interact regularly with individuals at various levels.
Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts and adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Nice To Haves

Food Service experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient, prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service, including greeting and speaking with customers.
Prepare Food Service department items according to manual guidelines, when applicable.
Produce quality food and products that meet or exceed customer and company expectations.
Prepare grill orders and use the fryer according to manual guidelines.
Slice meats and cheeses.
Assist with proper product rotation in coolers and freezers and maintain good product code dates.
Put up stock.
Follow the company Food Safety program.
Keep the workstation and surrounding area neat and clean, including washing dishes, mopping, and maintaining ventilation.
Assist with ordering products and supplies needed for daily operations.
Help ensure packaged self-service products have appropriate packaging and correct weights and ingredients to comply with local weights and measures regulations.
Work flexibly and as part of a team, with the expectation of cross-training in multiple areas.
