About The Position
Join the Culinary Services team in a healthcare setting, where your work directly supports residents every day. This role offers a predictable schedule, a strong team environment, and the opportunity to use your cooking skills in a meaningful way. The position is in a healthcare/long-term care setting and involves standing, lifting, and working in kitchen conditions. The cook prepares meals according to menus and standardized recipes, ensures food quality and proper portioning and temperatures, follows therapeutic and modified diet requirements, and helps with food preparation, tray line, and service as needed. The cook also maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and follows food safety and infection control procedures.
Requirements
- Previous cooking or foodservice experience preferred.
- Ability to follow recipes and production sheets.
- Ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance.
