About The Position

Southern Hills Specialty Care, a 90-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Osceola, Iowa, is hiring a Cook. The Cook contributes to menu planning and meal preparation while meeting nutritional guidelines and residents’ preferences. The role prepares and serves meals that support an enjoyable and dignified dining experience, residents’ comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life. Meals must be nutritious, well-balanced, attractively presented, and prepared in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards. The Cook also builds positive, respectful relationships with residents and incorporates their feedback into meal service whenever possible.

Requirements

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting.
