About The Position
A medical facility in Tyler, Texas, is hiring a Cook. The role involves preparing food in a healthcare setting, including modified and restricted meals, and supporting patient meal service. Pay is $16.50 per hour. Available shifts are 6:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m., and 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. The schedule is Monday through Friday and every other weekend.
Requirements
- Related experience in commercial, institutional, or healthcare food preparation.
- Ability to stand and walk for long shifts.
Responsibilities
- Follow standardized recipes.
- Prepare modified and restricted meals.
- Monitor food and equipment temperatures.
- Receive, store, and rotate stock.
- Operate industrial ovens, steamers, grills, slicers, and deep fryers.
- Train or guide kitchen assistants.
- Set up patient tray lines.
- Clean work areas.
